My best guess is that you, right now, need to get to the escape pod section and find the 'bridge' access card. It opens the second, locked, big door right where you entered level 6 from the elevator. I remember casually filling each other's inventories up with plants at one point, as you could just drag and drop stuff onto your partner. Nearly went stark staring bonkers by the end but we loved it.
To clarify: You do not need the 'shuttle bay' card to get to the bridge and fulfil your current objective, you need it later on. Yep, played it in university with a friend over LAN in one long epic 24 hour session, from start to finish. At this point SHODAN should talk to you again and tell you what to do next. The basic approach on level 6 - I could always be somewhat wrong as I'm doing it from memory - is: find the 'shuttle bay' card, get to the escape pods and find the 'bridge' card left for you with that you can enter the bridge and get the 'Ops' card. So my bet would be that you took this card and not the Ops Override key card. The card you took ( 'offices on the upper level', I'm guessing, refers to the officer's area ) sounds like the Shuttle Bay Access card, which was located in a security office in the officer's area up a ladder, there even is a very small chemical storeroom next to it. The Ops Override card's location is ( spoiler tags for new players! ) on the upper level of the bridge, there is no chemical storage room on the upper level of the bridge, so I'm thinking you may have mixed up something here.
I never heard of a bug that affects key cards until now, so my guess would be that there is something else that's not working out for you.Ĭheck for your key card in the key card menu and see if you took everything and what it was exactly that you took, the lowest card on the list is the last one you picked up. You can always check for your available key cards by hitting tab, then selecting the blue-ish card symbol at the bottom iirc.
